The Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve is situated some
8km east of Bass Lake. There are three trails on the reserve which can be completed within
1½ hours to 4 hours.
One can also hike around the Bass Lake property within 2½ hours.
Both of these hikes can be accomplished by anyone.

This activity can be incorporated into Team Building activities.
Discussions are currently underway regarding the
declaration of the reserve and its environs (including Henley on Klip, where Bass Lake is
situated) as a Biosphere Reserve.
This area is home to abundant and varied bird life,
and therefore a real drawcard for ornithologists.
Advice on local walks and trails can be offered in
this regard. |
